They came to our land
They brought their prisoners
They killed some of our own
They took our children
I was forced to go
Never to see my family again
They told us to learn
And taught us to write
They taught us their language
Then because of our colour
We weren't allowed their privileges
We were mistreated
We've grown in their society
They say their sorry
But sorry can not take away those years
