My Aussie Country

The love of sun and moonlight,
the love of silver stars,
looking up into the sky,
mercury, venus, mars.
The blowing of the wind,
the fresh and salty air,
walking alongside the coast,
blowing through my hair.
I love a sun burnt country,
with drought and lack of rain,
sitting in the farmhouse,
trying to ease the pain.
There is no longer fresh fruit,
the crops no longr grow,
we look into the future,
it will happen, that I know.
Multicultural Australia!
freckles, blondes, brunettes,
fresh faces with warm laughter
the kindest you've ever met.
Smiling people left and right,
the love is all around.
If you ever need a hand or two,
no question, not a sound.
The bridge is in the distance
overlooking the sea,
next door is the Opera House,
a relaxing place for me.
Opposite the harbour
a town for work and play,
from busy dancing night clubs,
to long and work filled days.
Australia is my country,
a nation with changing land,
all who have not been here,
can't possibly understand.
My love for Australia is forever,
yesterday, tomorrow, today.
Good morning, goodnight, good afternoon,
hello, goodbye, G'day!
