Military Death

The cold valley is still in the night,
Hundreds of soldiers, all ready to fight,
Crouching down in a shallow trench,
Their hammering hearts give a wrench,
As the call to war sounds,
They'll climb up over the earthy mounds,
Ready to meet their terrible fate,
All young faces are filled with hate,
Most soldiers will see a friend die,
They'll call out, but there's no time to cry,
You can see men spilling blood,
Guns take them out in a flood,
A moment for thought and their motives fray,
Win or lose, they had to pay,
They've all fallen for their leaders charms,
Just to become brothers in arms,
The death and blood will get under their skin,
None can recognise foe from kin,
War is placed upon their shoulders
Guns have to stay inside their holders,
Their arrogant leader, perched up high,
Will watch his soldiers fall - and die,
It's scary how these wars exist,
And such ignorant people will fall for ttricks.
