The stench of death clings to the air,
The clouds are full of woe,
Teardrops of rain fall from the sky,
The war began not long ago.
His brother races to and fro fighting to inspire,
An enemy nearby aims their gun,
And without a moment fires.
Protecting his brother he takes the bullet,
This makes a fatal wound,
He falls into a dusty pit,
His body feels entombed.
Lying there the world is spinning before him,
His life flashes before his eyes,
He's lived a good life always happy,
And satisfied he dies.
