WAR

War is terrible
It’s as though lightning flashes
But it’s just bombs falling

Empty silent streets
A girl screams in the distance
Then silent again

Killing the innocent
Killing the poor
As people say
All’s fair in war

We fight for honour
We fight for glory
We come back home
We tell our story

War is the sound of children screaming
War is when loved ones die
War can claim your life
And war can break your heart
