Meaningless Words

Sorry doesn’t mean anything,
It’s just a meaningless 5 letter word,
Made to comfort and calm the emotions of another,
Everyone feels words and emotions differently,
Yet a number of words combined are very difficult to bear,
Then again they are only difficult if you allow them to be,
Some words you hear for a split second,
And they draw tears from your eyes,
And then you hear than one word that makes you reconsider,
Sorry,
You feel the pain,
Yet distracted by the willingness to say sorry,
The consideration they appear to be revealing on the surface,
Maybe it’s still false,
Still a meaningless word.
