Lest We Forget

In the world of darkness
There might be some happiness
This day of days again we respectfully keep
In memory of those who sleep
Away beyond the quiet sea
That vividly in our imagination we see
There was no place to be
Away in far Gallipoli
They were taking heavy fire from up the hills
At the Gallipoli shore they faced the shells
Our soldier comrades far away
They were fighting somehow anyway
They fought for love and peace
They died so we could live in peace
So today we respectfully pray
For those who died so far away.
