Like dappled water flowing smooth,
A memoir’s like a stream
Of past and buried romances,
An idle place of dreams,
And some are cheerful, light and gay,
A cup of sweetest mirth,
They're here to smile through bad times,
They're sunrays sent to earth,
Though, others make you weep and sob,
In deepest sorrowful pain,
This is what time cannot heal,
The wish 'to do again',
But by and by a memoir shows,
How swiftly life will fly
Beware of squandered moments,
Or life will pass you by.
