We Are One

Harmony, peace, serenity;
A multicultural society.

This is Australia’s natural way
Of getting through the day.
We get along, we have fun,
We get our daily jobs done.

Hassle free, we get around,
Other countries we astound.

Black and white now form one,
Together under the Aussie sun.
Black helps white, white helps black,
A friendly heart we do not lack.

Hand in hand we come together
On this day in our local area,
To celebrate our community,
Our peace as a country.

Where trees grow wild and animals roam free,
Where whales and dolphins swim happily
.
From New South Wales to Western Australia,
From the Northern Territory to Tasmania.
We have the money, we have the strength,
To go anywhere, no matter what length.

We can be who we want to be,
See sights we want to see.
We don’t get pushed around by governments,
Or do wrong with no consequence.

So when Harmony Day comes around,
Celebrate it and be proud,
Of what a beautiful country we live in,
Where we’re free to do almost anything!
