In the splendor of the night
Leaves dance mystically in the breeze
The beholder is enticed by the sight
An ephemeral trance that one must seize

The radiance of the moon
Is captured in the water of the lake
This beauty is wrapped like a cocoon
So strong it cannot break

Stars embellish the night sky
Captivating the world with light
The scene is enchanting to the eye
A magical experience only felt at night

The sun rises ending the evanescent night
This process has made its name in history
Is nature responsible for this rite?
Or is there more to this mystery?
