One day from the nursery,
I brought home a plant.
It was a Venus Fly Trap,
And first it ate an ant!
One day I came home from school,
I threw down my bags.
I walked up into my room,
It ate my poor dog Rags!
One day I came home from school,
Over my head it loomed!
Through the day it grew so big,
I thought that I was doomed!
Over my head it grew big,
So with a hacksaw,
I chopped down the great giant,
My Fly Trap was no more!
