Salt rain slowly drops gently from my eyes
Crimson cheeks, freckled cheeks damp with tears I cry
Hazel eyes softly glazed like that of stormy skies
My face streams, my mouth has run out, completely dry.
Salt rain slowly slides gently across my pink lips
Soft and quiet, nothing to say, the sorrow lies inside
Tears I cry are seldom seen; so rare it’s like an eclipse
But how I feel it floods my cheeks making them hard to hide.
It’s like something is missing, something that’s now gone
An emptiness inside of me that wasn’t there before
But I won’t let it get to me; there will be a new dawn
I will fix what you have done, my heart you quickly tore.
Salt rain drips from my cold eyes, down my soft tanned skin
But weather changes, storms will pass, clear skies will shine once more
The sorrow you have caused me, I will hide it deep within
This chapter in my life is over; I have closed and locked that door.
