Fallen angel

On the faded shores of white,
Where day did bleed its light
An angel wept with fright,
For her lover lost from sight
Was creeping, sneaking into night
To the devil for a fight.

But it was this demon’s reign
That proved the angel’s bane:
In devil-bladed darkness… he was slain.
