You saw the pain beneath my smile,
You understood me in times of trial.
You are the blue between clouds of grey,
You are the one who brightens my day.
You are the first star that comes out at night,
You are the insides of my turkish delight.
You are always there for me, 'till the very end,
So I want to say thank you - my wonderful friend.
You stand out of the crowd like black against white,
You never go down without putting up a fight.
When I am confused, you know just what to do,
I am grateful to have such a friend as you.
