Zelena

There was a young girl lying under a huge oak tree out in the middle of a forest. The young girl had long dark red hair with hazel green eyes. She was wearing a pair of black leather pants and a white baggy shirt. Her hair was tied back in a plait and it fell straight down her back. She had knee height leather boots and she had a beautiful hand made sword strapped to her back. She began to shiver as a cold wind blew through the forest from a lake up ahead. She rolled over onto her back staring up at the canopy. After a while she sat up and looked ahead. She heard foot steps. She rolled over on to her stomach and pushed herself up onto her feet and brushed her self down. There were more foot steps coming towards her; and with an automatic reaction she drew her sword and got herself into a fighting position. Someone whispered,
“Zelena where are you?” Zelena lowered sword and whispered back,
“Is that you Zonathen?” A young boy walked out from behind one of the trees. He had short jet black hair with bright green eyes. He was wearing a grey singlet with a pair of black baggy pants and knee height leather boots. He also had a beautiful hand made sword strapped to his back. Zonathen was a friend she had met in the forest a few days ago before she was captured by the kings’ men. Zelena sheathered her sword again and walked up to Zonathen. He said,
“There is a place up a head near the lake where I can call Annica!” Annica was his deep green and purple dragon that he merely escaped on while Zelena was captured. Zonathen reached out for her hand and she took it and they began to run towards the lake. As they ran Zelena had a feeling that something was going to go wrong. Zelena had a talent of being able to sense things before they happened. It wasn’t rear in her family and everyone she knew had a talent of some sort beside Zonathen. Zonathen was the only person she knew that didn’t have a talent; well he had a talent to her. He said all the time that he didn’t have a talent but Zelena thought that having a dragon and being able to communicate with it all the time was a talent. She would have loved to have the type of talent he had but she knew it would never happen.
Zelena said as they came to a brief stop as a pain ran up her back,
“We are walking into danger Zonathen!” he looked down at her as his face turned white. He pulled her in a different direction and almost dragging her off her feet. Then pain in her back grew and she said,
“There is more danger up there!” but before Zonathen could change his direction she dragged him to her right and the pain began to settle down as her mind came into darkness. She looked deep into the darkness that was forming in her mind to see a huge black dragon. He had long shape white teeth and claws, his scales were as black as night. The deep black dragon stood over Annica. Annica was protecting a young boy under her chest. Then with a mighty breath the black dragon breathed fire onto Annica. She folded her wing around her chest covering the young boy and she arched her neck into an S shape and took a deep breath. She blew a huge golden and green flame at the guards. After a few minutes she let the flame go to reveal a huge pile of ashes. Annica S her necks around to where the huge black dragon stood and gave a long hiss and struck for his chest. The black dragon took his advantages and lunged for the back of her neck. He grabbed at her flesh and took a huge chunk out of her shoulder area but Annica didn’t dare move from the protection of the young boy. The darkness returned to Zelena then she came back to the forest. Zonathen asked her impatiently,
“What did you see Zelena?”
“Annica has a young boy with her and there is a huge black dragon as well as guards!” Zonathen’s face turned white and he let go of her hand and ran towards the river. A couple of minutes later she ran after him. When she got there Zonathen was leaning against one of the huge oaks with both arms wrapped around his stomach. She walked up to him and placed her right hand on his left shoulder and he faced her. His face was as white as a ghost.
She looked out into the opening to see Annica lying on the ground with blood gushing out of the back of her neck. She had her wing firmly tucked around the front of her chest and had her head on the ground as her neck was in an arch so she wouldn’t squash what was behind her wing. When Zelena walked out into the light she turned her head and opened her mouth. When she saw that it was Zelena she closed her mouth and released her wing from around her chest. The young boy walked out coughing. He had short dark brown hair with bright blue eyes. He was wearing a grey singlet with a pair of jean and a pair of black leather boots. The young boy jumped. Annica had flopped her neck and the rest of her body against the ground with a huge thud and a cloud of dust. She walked up to the young boy and asked,
“What is your name sweetheart?”
“Harry Author Kiltrop!”
“Mine is Zelena and my friends” she turned and looked over at Zonathen to see him on his knees “Zonathen” she turned back toward Harry and he ran up to her and wrapped his arms around her. After a while he pushed himself away from her and asked,
“What is wrong with him?” he pointed at Zonathen. Zelena looked over at Zonathen to see him paler then every. She walked up to him and sat down wrapping her arm around his shoulders. Zonathen said,
“You need to heal her Zelena” he was puffing know “You knee to save Annica or I will die!”
“I don’t have any powers Zonathen. You are the only one that has the power to heal things not me!” He looked up at her and said in a shaky voice,
“If I give you some of my power, enough to heal her will you do it?” he looked deeply at her and she knew that he trusted her and she said slowly,
“Yes!” he grabbed her right hand with is left and said in a shaky voice but very slowly,
“Sehatcha de power of lequimin does nara!” and there was a flash of deep green and purple. Zelena felt and sharp stabbing pain run up her arm and into the rest of her body. After a while it stoped. Zonathen let go of her hand and said in an impatient voice,
“Know hurry before it is too late!” Zelena got up and walked over to Annica and then turned back to Zonathen and asked,
“What are the words?”
“Helameto” Zelena knew he was becoming very weak so she said in her mind a couple of times,
Helameto, Helameto then she said a loud “Helameto” there was a flash of bright green and purple light coming from her palm. Then Zonathen yelled at her,
“Walk up to her and place your palm on the wound before the magic runs out!” She walked up to Annica and placed her palm above the huge hole in her neck then she said,
“Helameto” it glowed brighter and brighter then with a blinding flash of light it healed. Once the light faded away she fell to her knee as if all of her energy was drained out of her. After awhile she got to her feet feeling a bit off balance and she walked over to Zonathen, to see a bit of colour back in his face and his breathing was almost back to normal. Zonathen looked up at her as she sat down beside him and he said,
“Thankyou Zelena” he reached out with his left hand again and Zelena grabbed it with her right and there was another flash of dark green and purple light, but this time Zelena didn’t feel any pain. She looked down at Zonathen and she said in a calm voice,
“You need to rest Zonathen!” Zonathen gave a small smile and released her hand then slowly closed his eyes. Zelena gave a small smile and she got up and walked over to Harry and said,
“Where is your parents Harry and where do you live?”
“My parents are over the mountains in a small village from where I was separated from them!” he a little sigh and Zelena saw the sadness in his face and she said,
“Well we can’t take you there today. We will have to start when Zonathen has regained his strength!” He looked up at her with a twinkle in his eyes and he gave her a huge smile and once again he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a small huge.
