As the sky gleams with the luminosity of blue enamel
Catching the stain of blood and battle from the sun like caramel
A baby frog wants to delve into the luxuriant rainforest around her
But his mother, engulfed in a mantle of trepidation, is afraid something bad will occur
With desire vanquishing discipline as easily as disclosing you’re first lie
The baby frog, with no guilt, slinks into the clearing of emerald masses of rye
Garlands of waning sunlight tangos around, forming shimmering auras around the trees
And flowers, with their flamboyant dresses, waltz to the rhythm of the breeze
The frog gasps in fascination, as an eagle slashes the air at the call of dawn
Hues of crimson and gold frolicking through the rainforest like a spirited fawn
A toucan brags about his beak, glowing with the intensity of a thousand sunsets
A sloth ponders upon his dismal life, tears of pearl in his eyes, and his head full of regrets
Suddenly, a thunderous hiss stabs the frogs ears, making him leap in fright
While the two eyes of a snake gleam like a gem as resplendent as a light
With a jolt of horror he bounds as rapidly as a bolt of lightening
The thought of the horrendous snake relatively frightening
The frog springs behind a tree, vigilant, petrified and fearful
Reminiscent images of his affectionate mother making him feel tearful
He shouts and hollers for his doting mother when a replying cry is heard in the distance
Not just a cry of affection but of hope, love and assistance
He jumps towards the voice, tears pressing his eyes as bitterly as crimson red blood
Love beckoning to him in the form of an object priceless compared to a diamond stud
His mother stood, waiting for him, tears glistening like stars in her eyes
And, in relief, he embraced her tightly, the scene as lovely as a thousand night skies
