Who would want to be a king,
Top of the pecking order.
Armed with complete power,
Purveyed with absolute wealth?
Would you want to be a king,
Standing resolutely over subjects.
Mercilessly judging guilt from innocence,
Resolutely facing the uproar of social classes?
Why would you want to be a king,
High above the others.
Singing softly the sad song of solace
as your old friends face the axe?
What would you do if you were king?
What would you do if the power was yours?
Always remember my son, and be grateful.
The burden of power is not ours.
