Meant To Be

There it goes again, my heart is crushed,
Cut so deeply, the pain is too much,
My heart was filled with love, once again,
I was finally happy, why did it end?
She has changed her mind, for the very last time,
All we’ve been through are just memories left behind,
So now I’m alone, falling to my knees,
The more I think about her, the more my emotions seem to freeze.
Now I’m so numb, yet one feeling persists,
This feeling is love, and it’s with her that I miss,
If you love someone, set them free,
I did this, and she came back to me.
I’m not sure whether it’s time to move on,
Or continue chasing the girl, I have loved for so long,
If our feelings don’t change, and our love is still free,
I know in my heart, we are meant to be.
