A light flickers on and off in the street.
In my bed, reading my book when
The blind rolls up and in comes BLACK.
Lighting flashes like a hundred cameras.
Thunder booms like a giant,
And my radio stammers on and off.
My windows rattle,
Rain lashes against them.
Cars are zooming along like v8’s.
My doona falls off.
It is like I am in Antarctica.
I grab my pillow and wait for morning to come.
