You, Me And Our Friendship

Where would I be without you?
The priceless things you do for me-
From the smile and giggles,
To the chuckles and guffaws,
You make me happy,
And I hope you are too
Because I truly believe,
With all my heart
That you, my friend
Deserve only the very best.
When the hard times crash,
I do feel sad-
Sad, anxious, worried and petulant
But it’s only with your help
That I do want to be happy again
You make me miss
No actually, desire and crave for
The happiness you gave to me
The happiness you make me need.
But I’ve figured,
It isn’t the happiness,
It’s you and our friendship.
To know that I can have a friend like you
Is the utter truth to why I am happy-
The mere explanation as to how I can be happy.
We all get sick,
We all get heartbroken at times,
We get flashbacks or memories that aren’t too nice,
But please whatever you do,
Don’t cry…
You can scream, shout, punch and kick,
But don’t cry.
Because when I see you cry,
You don’t know how much it hurts me too
It feels as if my unbearable heart
Is being stabbed, jabbed and weakened
With absolute excruciation
I know it’s selfish and weak of me to ask,
But please, lock up your tears far away,
And tightly enough, that it doesn’t leak
I can not bear to see you cry,
To be overcome with such sadness and grief.
That loyalty and honesty,
Caring and loving
Isn’t what make me appreciate our friendship.
But it is you and your personality-
And everything about you
I’m not invincible, strong or eternal.
And neither are you
But one thing that is,
That has always been
And definitely will always be,
Is indisputably our friendship
It will never die, and I know it won’t
Because I am promising you my friend,
That with all my power,
With all my might
I will do everything and anything
To protect our friendship
Till the day I die.
