On the first day of school, two thousand and seven,
I saw a new girl who looked lovely and pleasant.
She had brown hair and the darkest eyes,
What happens next is quite a surprise!
Her name was Millie and we started to speak,
We were best friends for life by the end of the week.
All went well for quite a while,
But some nasty problems stopped our smiles.
We found new friends to help us through,
And were again best mates without a clue.
Time passed by and the problems disappeared,
Those horrible problems, the ones we had feared.
A new year came round, and so did new mates,
First one, then five, then seven, then eight.
But out of all, Millie stayed my best friend,
And that is it, that is the end.
