The Eclipse

I feel the sun beating,
I feel the heat rising,
But the coolness in the air,
The moon so appetizing,
Both together to light up the sky,
But when they are together the darkness is my demise,
A total eclipse,
An unforgettable prize,
For those few moments the world is still,
Not a bird cawing in the sky,
With that breath taking moment,
I run away from this lie.
