Its funny seeing city folk come into reality
When they drive through town in their snazzy sports cars
I hope that it makes them think about life
If I was one of them I would think like this
I’m driving through this drought-stricken town
I see crops dead and livestock carcasses
Houses up for sale, people hoping toward a new start
Yellow grass and dried up dams, feels like a ghost town
It is sad to feel this way about life during drought
You have to keep up hope to survive
This is the way it is and the way it might be for awhile
Remember life is hard work, time to face reality
