In my younger years
She cared for me when I was vulnerable
She cleaned me up when I made a mess
As I started to grow
She taught me to walk and talk
She taught me to read and write
She was my tutor
And now in my teenage years
She consoles me with endearments when I feel dejected
She guides me when I get lost
She helps me when I get stuck
Who is this woman?
I’ll tell you who
She is the most important person to me
She is the reason I have moral and understanding
She is the person I love most
She is my mother
