What is life but a day at the beach?
Lives like the tides, high and low
During the day we are on top
Then playing Shakespeare’s fool in a show.
What is life but a day at the beach?
A sandcastle on the sand brown
Spending all day we build ourselves up
Then after a wave we’re knocked down.
What is life but a day at the beach?
Relaxing under the sun bright
One moment you’re in heaven then
Then you’re burnt out of sight.
That’s why life is a day at the beach
With all its ups and downs
Playing in the water and the sand
Or burnt like the nose of a clown.
