Tears Yet To Fall

Dreamy despair courses through me,
As I turn the image in my mind,
Floating waves carry me far away,
And I struggle to remain adrift.
But as I float, no peace comes,
Instead, horrible thoughts of misery,
I cannot seem to fall asleep,
And sleep forever, never waking up, never thinking.
Tears are balancing on my eyelids,
Tears yet to fall,
And as I float away to a land of thoughts,
I remember everything, yet nothing is familiar to me.
It is time to go. The end has come to me.
I have come to the ending.
And there are still tears on my eyelids,
Tears yet to fall.
