Open you eyes and see your people falling to the floor,
Slaves they were and slaves they are once more.
It’s tragic that this world has come to this again,
Everyone, enslaved to the hatred in the end.
Killing and destroying in a great rage, but your fate is not for you to change.
Remember I did not you condemn, Oh the foolishness of men.
They can’t see beyond the anger that consumes their souls,
Their hearts as black as burnt out coal.
Once your friends but they don’t recognise you now,
Is it jealousy that consumes them I just can’t figure it out?
Is this really the way our lives conclude,
Why must we die in such a melancholy mood?
There are wars raging even in my backyard,
I see people breaking down but I am trying so hard.
Trying to be a role model trying to be heard,
You may have brute force but I’ll have the final word.
