“No mum, please, I don’t want to!” I screamed as my mum shoved me into the foyer of the dentist. People where staring at me like I was a childish baby, but they don’t know what pain I go through at the dentist! Mum pushed me into the check up room and tried to calm me down, but how could I? The dentist was standing in front of me holding what looked like a drill with a button and toothpaste. Mum assured me that it was just the tooth cleanser, but what is a 9 year old boy meant to believe??
The dentist carried me onto the dreaded dentist chair, it was moving lower and lower, I was going to jump off the chair but then realised I was strapped up by this Velcro belt. “Easy there boy” the dentist said “Save that for later” and that was the last thing I heard before something spiky poked me in the arm. I then automatically fell asleep. When I woke up I still felt sleepy. Mum kept pointing to her gum and giving me all types of signs about my mouth. I looked in the mirror and realised that my tooth was gone, well in the end it wasn’t that painful after all!!
