A Day Before My Eye

I see a magpie above my shed,
As the peppercorn tree sways far ahead.
All the leaves are like an orchestra playing,
A song to which the birds love singing.
Darkness has fallen upon the night,
All birds are in trees at such a great height.
Now all I see is the shadow of the trees,
And the sky gleaming back at me.
My eyes awiden to try to find light,
And there is the first star of the night.
Unsurprisingly, I see the wind get stronger,
As the cooling air swirls around the warmer.
Although, I can no longer see nature,
I can feel it all around me, so pure.
Pitch black it is,when the light becomes shy,
That is a day right before my eye.
