A golden orb slowly peeks over the dark horizon,
Bringing light to the still-sleeping world,
Dim at first, it gradually brightens to a scorching ginger globe of day,
Supplying radiance for the earth beneath.
Her outstretched arms,
Tightly embrace the sunburnt land below,
A vast ocean of turquoise sky,
Providing the only barrier between the two.
Thin, wispy clouds of heaven float aimlessly beneath her,
Never burning,
Never falling,
Always airborne.
A rich tapestry of green foliage,
Slowly browning in the summer heat,
Dotted with tiny musicians,
Whistling out their unique, mesmerising tunes.
Slowly, but surely, the colossal golden star
Sinks back into her home
On the horizon,
Waiting for tomorrow.
