Waves crash,
fists bash,
bruises start to sprout.
Skin browns,
mouth frowns,
is this what life’s about?
People cry,
throats are dry,
words of pain they shout.
Thunder pounds,
ringing sounds,
into deafened ears.
Lights flash,
shadows dash,
illuminating fears.
