Mask Parade

Once a year on Sunday,
We go to a parade.
There are many kids and people.
It feels like an arcade!
I make my special mask,
And join the dance and glee.
I turn around in circles.
I feel like I am free!
When it’s time for eating,
We have a great big feast.
We all start digging in.
And Dad eats like a beast!
Once we’ve finished lunch,
We all start to pack up.
My belly’s big and heavy,
But I’m still filling it up!
We put our bags in the car,
Sit down and rest our eyes.
We’ve all had a busy day.
So we sleep until it’s time to rise.
