A Fairy Visit

All was quite in the garden,
As she walked around in wait,
for the tiniest of noises,
But she feared she was too late.
Until she heard the buzzing,
The familiar beat of wings,
And they flew down to surrouind her,
In amongst the toadstool rings.
She could hear their tiny voices,
As they rung out through the air,
She could not seem to lift her jaw,
As they pulled and tugged her hair.
One allighted on her finger,
It was that of perfection,
The fairies swooped and spiraled,
darting off in every direction.
Minutes later as she walked,
Back through the garden door,
A smile lingered on her lips,
And reached her very core.
For even though the fairies,
Had indeed left her again,
They would return for years to come,
As they had just then.
