What should I tell you
About my brother, when he was two?

Should I write
About his toothache?

Or the funny game
Of sweep-take?

I may tell you all
About his roll-ups
Or eating chocolate
with scallops!

Can I write everything
About his days,
Or about his train
And the huge car,
Or about his bad attempt
to play guitar…

I can write
About the food and drinks
Animals or minx!

I can write about
Tears and hugs,
Grabbing
Shrubs and bugs…!

But, I can
Never tell you enough
How beautiful
Was his laugh.

I treasured his smile,
?h , he was a gorgeous child
