He whispers in my ear
He puts temptations in my mind
I cannot escape him
He follows my every step
Corrupting the every mind
I can see what he does
But I cannot stop him
I cannot help myself
I am powerless
He is a universal torment
Promising lies
Ensuring pain
He has no love
Only hate and sin and evil thoughts
He will murder and deceive
For power supreme
Yet he will not prevail
No, there is a power stronger
Beautiful and magnificent
Eternal and genuine
A power so great it will defeat evil
Will conquer death and bring new life
It has always existed
From before the first thought
'Till after the last breath
The victory imminent from the start
This magnificent power is humble
Caring and kind to every thing
Its creations praise it
They worship it with their every breath
It has saved them
It loves them
It calls them all by name
But they will turn away
When hard times are absent
They will forget
But it will never forget
It will always be there
Helping, protecting, caring
Waiting for us
