Dark To Light

I wake up,
And walk outside
To feel the cool ocean breeze on my skin.

It is still dark,
But oh so beautiful,
With the ocean waves crashing on the sand.

The water sparkles and shimmers
As light splays across the cool sea,
And the water turns from a dark green colour to aqua.

A half circle appears on the horizon,
Slowly making its way up to the sky
And spreading its light and warmth throughout the Earth.

It is the most emotionally moving sight of the day,
Watching the world before you turn from dark to light,
All because of this sunrise.
