Science In My Day

I am in year four at school
and everyday I walk through the door I hear, get out your science books
get ready to work
we are doing an experiment
that will give you a perk.
We mix many substances
to see what will happed
some float to the top
some sink to the bottom
the colours mix creating a rainbow
floating and swaying in a glass jar.
My teacher Mrs Poncini
is really terrific
she gives us experiments
that are science specific
she shows us how fun science can be
interesting experiments to satisfy me.
I am learning about equipment,
chemicals and things,
like the animal kingdom
and the wonders it brings
at night, I dream of my science day
by morning, I go to school, I'm on my way.
My teacher is ready
as we walk through the door
she is wearing a mask, white coat and more
get out your science books
get ready to think
today's experiment is going to stink.
