My turn has come,
my name is called,
I step up to be heard,
I look around,
my focus is dulled,
the audience is blurred,
the crowed is silent,
eyes staring at me,
anticipation burns,
I take a breath,
I clear my throat,
begin to speak,
realization turns,
I state my case,
and raise my voice,
to impact what matters,
I want everyone
to see and hear,
the truth shatters,
my heart is pounding,
the excitment grows,
I know, I am understood,
I conclude my speach,
bow,
the applause,
was really neat.
