Misplaced Affection

As I gaze up into the twinkling midnight sky,
I am reminded of you.
The paired, destined stars, you and me.
Strolling the park, holding hands, my dream.
The devotion of piano, the songs we played.
By you, my desired cherub.
Never, would I let you go, I would not live,
if so.
Death, my abiding choice.
But careless, you were,
you chose him over me.
You left me broken, you soon were too.
A stab in my heart, the pain I felt.
Your anguish and mistake.
Your suicidal act.
My eternal, internal bleeding will never mend.
