Blank faces staring back
Never let their muscles slack
Behind those glassy mirrored eyes
Reflecting neither truth nor lies
Shielding that which lies within
Which hides an even greater din
A life of lies unknown to any
The lies so known as truths to many
More obsessed with reputation
Than people lost in destitution
Greediness and vanity
Soon cause pure insanity
Clinging on in hope of rising
While poorer people are demising
While inside filled with urgent pleading
Appearances can be misleading...
