One day in summer I caught my horse Storm, because I was going to ride him.
He was a bit frisky and he liked jumping.
I rode around our property for a whole hour.
I thought I would put him away, but I didn't because Sarah, my sister wanted to ride him, so I got the reins and let Sarah hop up into the saddle on his back. I started leading them around and I stopped down near the dam closest to the house.
I stopped them because I wanted to find out where the hole was, because I knew there was a steep hole with water in it that the horse might break his leg in, or get stuck in.
Just as I turned around the horse bolted and Sarah was holding on to the saddle, she stayed in the saddle for a while, but then started going to one side. Her foot got stuck in one of the stirrups, but then it slipped out.
Sarah was in panic mode, too scared to even scream. I was freaking out, until I realised how it looked, and then I cracked up laughing.
Sarah was still on the horse, but then speed of the horse pulled her underneath him. His back legs went straight over her, and the way she was lying meant he didn't hit her with his back legs at all.
When she got up, she was freaked out. From then on she never gets on Storm again.
Sarah was very lucky to be alive.
