The Eld of Dreams
Wait for me, beyond the old, slouched hills.
One day, I will climb them, and claim you.
If tired you become, do not despair.
Undying, still, is my promise to you.
By my door, the air is dry.
Will I turn back again, and
Wait for tommorrow's dawn?
No. Life now tastes too bland.
Remember our pact, under the autumn stars?
The air was rosy with the scent of hope.
Today, hopes have rippened! After this step,
To an endless eden, we shall elope!
A vast desert. Nothing more.
I crawl back, by remorse, stung.
Deep down, I had always known
That fiery dreams always die young.
