Lost In A Story
Page after page after page,
Each time I turn the paper,
The words seem timeless, without age,
I smell each sheet of inky vapour.
And I find now all around me,
Black waves that belong to the sea,
They crash all around me and suddenly,
I venture to the forest with a friendly bee.
But wait a minute, what is this?
A beautiful dog is mine to keep!
A tiny bug has given me a kiss!
Now I am exploring the life of a chimney sweep!
Oh, but alas, it was all a story,
Gone is all my wonderful glory,
For now Mum is calling "Time for bed Cori!"
And tomorrow I will read the rest of the story.
