The Koala Poem - Made By The Endangered Species Poets©
High in the trees,
protected from those stinging bees,
what is that Aussie dude
chomping on Eucalyptus Leaves which is what it calls food.
Well, it is obviously a koala bear!
Oh no! That gave us a scare!
Wait a minute - it ain't no drop bear!
It is a normal koala, they are getting rare!
They are native to Australia,
and they are part of Mammalia!
They are special because they are a marsupial and OUCH!
There is something in that pouch!
Koalas are endangered because of logging,
a practice that is hogging
a lot of trees, in fact trees are dying!
Trees are what koalas are relying
on, 'cos it is their very own home!
If there were no trees, on the ground, koalas must roam!
Imagine a world with no trees,
that would give koalas a tight squeeze!
No home for these animals anymore,
how very, very poor!
They need some help from you,
so this poem can continue.
Other animals are also likely to become extinct,
their time in the wild is succinct,
one of them is the Chinhai Spiny Newt,
and your help will definitely contribute!
More of these poems will be made,
so animal populations won't fade.
