Reality Bites
Sometimes I have to take a step back
And ask myself if this is real
The things that happen around me
The feelings that I feel
Is this all one crazy dream?
The tears, the laughs, the distant screams?
Is this the way life is meant to go?
Are these the things that I should know?
I ask myself each passing day
What it would be like if you were still here
But it saddens me inside to know
That this message will never be clear
The breath I breathe and the tears I cry
Are all because of you
So take them all away from me
This life will never do
