Dearly Flawed
We are too small,
Like the last tear,
Shed for a dream
Deserted in fear.
We are too weak,
Like untold virtue,
When told to rebel
Against misfortune.
We are too foolish,
Like the brightest stars,
Who don’t wink twice
Before mending our scars.
We are too human,
To touch perfection,
And so chance life with
Dear commiseration.
