You left me here my heart shattered on the floor,
Lost the ability to live I will continue no more,
I don’t know what else to do but lay here forever,
What is the point of putting the pieces back together?
No matter how many others there are, the feeling remains,
You are still part of me flowing through my veins,
And although they are frozen still, cause my heart is no longer,
Each day I grow weaker while the memory gets stronger,
I can’t pick up the pieces or just sweep them under the mat,
They stay where there are laying were they have always sat,
The sharpness of the pieces leads me to fear,
I reach to touch them but as I get near,
I think of you and the pieces shatter once more,
Leaving me with more pieces as I lay still on the floor.
