Getting Better
Today I'm going no where fast
All I can think of is the past
All that is inside is cold
This feeling is really getting old
Finally today the sun shines
I try to ignore this heart that pines
The grass is green
Again I’m sadder than I seem
But I’m getting better
The sky today is blue
It still hurts when I think of you
Today there is no grey
But to you I have nothing left to say
Today I go through my usual confused misery
Tired, lonely, frustrated and hungry
But I’m getting better.
