As I sit here and cry my tears realise what I am feeling is fear
Fear of failure, fear of sadness, fear of what people think and see or, maybe just fear of what I want to be
Masking my emotions with a fake smile trying to run that extra mile.
Under the mask lies a girl who is sad and sick of everything
Who just wants to wake up and be able to dance and sing?
Anger, frustration and hate hold the key
From trying to keep myself free
Free of failure, free of sadness and free of what people think and see
But most of all free to be what I want to be.
