You Saved Me

You saved me from myself,
when I was really down.
You held me above water,
when I really wanted to drown.

I stare at my scars,
and say thank you out loud.
Because if you weren't here,
I doubt I'd be around.

I look at the broken mirror,
I broke so long ago.
And feel all the pain and hate,
slowly seem to go.

It feels so good,
to be that free.
Free from pain and hate,
I'm so happy you weren't late,
to save me from myself.

You opened my eyes,
to something new,
and I know I did for you too.
Because we really mean it,
when we say 'I love you'.

Thank you babe,
for making me feel,
so safe and happy too.
Please don't ever change,
from being just you!
